About Celia Tombalakian

A professional based in New York, Celia Tombalakian is the Vice President of Global and US Marketing for Sally Hansen, a division of COTY, where the business is celebrating more than 50 years of self-made beauty. 

In her role as Vice President of Global and US Marketing, Celia leads teams and businesses through the world of consumer health, beauty, and dermatology as well as medical aesthetic device sectors. She was tasked with returning the brand to growth and has since identified and rectified issues holding back development. Celia feels proud every day walking into the Empire State Building and working for the number one nail brand in the United States. 

Previously in her career, Celia Tombalakian worked with Elizabeth Arden as the Senior Director of Global Marketing, a position she was recruited for by the former CMO and SVP of Global Marketing at Johnson and Johnson in order to craft a reliable marketing strategy for beauty devices and skincare products. During her four years with Elizabeth Arden, her role was expanded to include product innovations for all beauty categories at the company. 

Before joining Elizabeth Arden, Celia Tombalakian worked with Johnson & Johnson for more than 17 years. She began as a Sales Representative and grew her role into Marketing Product Director. From there, she was promoted to the Director of New Business Development, then the Director of Global Consumer Marketing, and then the Director of Regional Marketing before moving into the role of Group Director for Worldwide Marketing. 

Across her career, Celia has established several areas of excellence through her career, including marketing innovation, digital savvy, performance excellence, functional agility, and business acumen. She is also a polyglot who is fluent in English and has professional proficiency in French and working proficiency in Armenian.

Celia Tombalakian has also received acclaim for her skills in areas that include brand marketing, development, strategy, and management; digital marketing, media, and strategy; forecasting, leadership, advertising, strategic planning, global marketing, and the pharmaceutical industry. 

As a professional, Celia’s talents are strengthened by her ability to find a balance between her right-side and left-side brain in terms of analytical and creative thinking. One of the projects she’s found the most joy in is the fun business collaborations that the brand has had, including nail colors from the Crayola line and the Sally Hansen InstaDri x Jelly Belly limited edition collection.
